As we all know, the death of a family member is one of the most painful experience for everyone in that family. In the midst of their grief and emotional distress, family members are often confronted with the practical problems of choosing a place of burial, purchasing a grave site, transferring the deceased from their home or hospital to the funeral; home, making arrangements for the funeral and burial and other required ceremonies. With these problems and past experiences in mind, Iranians living in the Chicago land area have long felt the need for a cemetery of their own, with the necessary facilities conveniently located in one location. Fortunately, and as a result of the efforts of number of Iranians, a private garden was purchased and converted into an Iranian Cemetery within Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
